About Stakky

Hi all,

I’m a young photographer based in Perth, WA. I’ve been shooting for 5 years come 2012, and work retail in a camera shop on the side, as well as studying physics at Uni. Most of my images are traditional panoramic landscapes taken from remote areas of Western Australia, with the odd overseas endeavour or experimental image. Across the last few years I’ve achieved a few publishings, a couple of awards and even fewer exhibitions. Where it’s truly at, however, is the many swabs of inspiration, advice and support from other Australian photographers and blog visitors, which have allowed me to network my photography and develop a website. As for the origin of the fictitious sentience that goes by the pseudonym Stakky? You’ll have to work that out yourself!

I use a canon 5D and a 400D, with a 35mm F2.0, 50mm F1.4 and a mostly broken 17-35mm F2.8 I was given a while back.

  4. Hi Stakky

I found your fantastic photograph of the 17 Day Hike in the Himalayas at Matt George’s Photo Contest site. What a great photograph and what a great trip!!

I am linking to you today from soulsnet.com where I write a daily inspirational blog and I am sharing your photograph. I hope that’s ok. I will of course link back to you and credit your image. Today’s post is actually about Inspiration and your photograph will be a fantastic contribution. I hope you come visit and enjoy the post. I take very amateurish photos myself, I am a poet not a photographer, as you will immediately see, so I love to include a photo from a real photographer for my readers to enjoy. Would it be ok to use some more of your images in the future. I will always credit and link back.
    You are a wonderful photographer
    Thanks
